My mom and her family are from Mexia. My best childhood memories are my grandparents farm in Mexia. They were close to Forest Glade School. I can't remember the name of the road. I think we brushed shoulders a few times. I was in Const. till 85 then taught at KHS in Kingwood till last May. Been playing since 98, self taught, write and sing some,not much good but love to do it. I really admire you for following and getting to do what you loved, your u-tube licks and lessons are top shelve, keep em coming. I retired and live in Mexia now on our 92 acre farm, it a great place to relax if you ever have the time. I would love to have you and the family for a week-end or during the week if you ever have the time. Fair warning!, it might cost ya some music and guitar tips but trust me the atmosphere is worth it. Keep on Keeping on my friend.
