The Half Diminished 7 chord, also called the m7b5 chord, has the 1, b3, b5, and b7 intervals. The numbers in the diagram below represents the fingering. The hollow note on the 6th string should be played with the thumb (one of the rare occasions when you use the left thumb). Be sure to mute the 5th and 1st strings.
