The Augmented Chord
The augmented chord has the 1, 3, and #5 intervals. The hollow note is the root. Although you don't actually play the 6th string the chord should be associated with the chords from the previous lessons that have the roots on the 6th string. The numbers in the diagram below represents the fingering.
